'Sea Glass Beach'
36" x 36" gallery wrapped oil on canvas by Ellen Rice Hidden away in a small cove on one of the beautiful Abaco Islands in the Bahamas is a hidden place named for what can be found washed ashore there in a multitude of colors. The cliffs in the painting are not rock but centuries of accumulations of exoskeletons of coral and local sea creatures. Ellen incorporated some crushed pieces of sea glass from this beach in the original oil painting so the owners of the painting of their private getaway would know when they were looking at the painting they were also "seeing" part of their beach. Private Commission. Prints available. |
