A snapshot of Duane holding my new 52" wide oil on canvas "You Raise Me Up...." outside to see how its colors change (vastly) in direct natural light. This oil was created mostly with thin glazes of natural pigments mixed only with linseed oil with formulas used by the old masters for lasting colors and luminescence.
New images and the painting's story will be available after my printing computer is replaced with a new system and it's up and running in several weeks. This scene is from Cowee Overlook in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.
On my easel now is an almost finished oil painting of a beautifully lit Lewis scene.
"Always Your Friend"
A new portrait painted as a gift for the children's parents.
16" x 20" oil on canvas, painted from a small but clear emailed photograph

Note: The two paintings above have the same frames, and the true colors of the paintings harmonize with each other. The website's program is affecting the way the colors appear here. In person the frames look more like the lighter one on the left. Original paintings are always best seen in person.
