The sun peaks over the ocean bringing with it a plethora of glorious colors.
Quietly a new day dawns. Gulls glide gently overhead looking for their breakfast, while I stand with feet in the cool watery sand taking it all in. I live a mile from the ocean as the seagull flies. At times, like when a major hurricane is making a beeline for the coast, I've thought about moving farther inland. But when the storm has passed the urge diminishes. Though it's costly living near the ocean (upkeep is always high), being able to witness the earth awakening over the ocean is something I would not like to give up. In Morning Glory, I share one of countless glorious mornings witnessed on Delaware's coast near my home. I hope you enjoy it Ellen |
