Delaware’s pristine sandy beaches and the mesmerizing rhythm and beauty of the Atlantic Ocean are this region’s most precious treasure and my reason for painting this oil.
The original oil of Delaware Gold was painted from memories of countless days spent on our beaches over a lifetime lived near the shore.
Like so many people, I’m endlessly drawn to the many moods of our coast, but probably most of all the ever-changing colors of sunrise over the ocean. This moment beckoned me.
Standing on the shore at moments like the one captured here are food for the soul, somehow making everything else in life seem small by comparison.
