Indian River Inlet ~ "The Quiet After the Storm"

Painted in chalk pastels lightly applied, in "The Quiet After the Storm" Delaware artist Ellen Rice created a softly lit, peaceful view of the long stretch of beach, dunes and ocean that once could be seen from the old Indian River Inlet Bridge, the moments portrayed after a large storm had gone out to sea. Despite the bridge having been replaced, this scene remains a favorite of those who love the Delaware shore.
