"Tempest Brewing", a 9" x 12" x 5/8" oil on canvas, captures the excitement of storm tides gathering and washing over Indian River Inlet's north jetty and beach, the location of historic shipwrecks in past centuries, where shipwreck relics still occasionally was ashore.
The wrecks are the reason the beach on the north side of the inlet is known as Coin Beach worldwide. The way the surf comes in today, is also the reason it's called "The Cove" by local surfers.
