"Summertime," Celebration Series painting No 2 - SOLD
In July, I decided to paint a selection 25 "smalls gems" from my thousands of "saved for future paintings" photo references to celebrate my gallery's 25th anniversary, releasing one about every two or three weeks.
Of all the photos hanging around in my storage cloud, this is the second one I chose. I love its quintessential feeling of summer, the action, the swirling sea foam and lacework of flying sea spray, even the moss on the jetty.
"Summertime" is a 6" x 8" oil painting on handkerchief-fine, oil-primed Belgian linen painted using a glazing method used for centuries to produce subtle color changes and luminescence.
It is signed and numbered 2/25 of my Celebration Series in gold ink on the back of its linen panel, leaving room for a small personalization.
Shipping of these small originals is via FedEx.
Please note: these digital images are lower resolution and the colors are only a proximity to those of the actual painting. The colors and natural glow of original paintings are always best seen in person.
