Gouache for Beginners Workshop
by Joanne Guilfoil
Description:
The purpose of this workshop is to learn about another watercolor, called gouache. It is an opaque watercolor, with a heavier pigment, and higher opacity than traditional transparent watercolors.
Gouache can be fun and dramatic! Students will learn how to mix colors in gouache, some color theory and the marvelous layering and other brushwork techniques, that are so unique to gouache.
We will start the workshop with short color mixing lessons, then create three small paintings of images and objects provided. By the end of the day paintings will be complete, and one will be selected to finish with a mat and cardboard backing.
Date/Time:
Saturday, January 25, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. So, bring a lunch or snacks.
Class Size:
