Ellen has maintained a studio on the third level of her home for over two decades. This year,
she has designed and built a ground level studio on her property.
You are welcome to visit by appointment.
Directions and more regarding Ellen's beautiful new location
Ellen Rice Studio, Gallery and Learning Center is overlooks the James Farm Ecological Preserve on the Cedar Neck Peninsula of Ocean View, Delaware, a little off the beaten path, but only 2.5 miles northwest of Bethany Beach, close to all of the activities the Delaware and Maryland beach area has to offer and easy to get to.
After almost 23 years as an award-winning fine art gallery, Ellen has transitioned the gallery into a concept close to her heart:
- Year-round working studio, portrait sitting area and showroom in a quiet setting that is very close, but out of, the hustle and bustle of the resort area
- Guests can block a period of time to view her work and talk with the artist in the place where she creates.
- Prints of Ellen's work can be viewed and taken home or ordered in desired sizes with free shipping to your choice of destinations within the continental US.
- Small artful gifts made by Ellen and artisan friends will be available in a revised online experience soon, where many photos are of the exact item you are considering.
- Sitting area for consultations about paintings you'd like Ellen to do for you or simply relaxing and enjoy the art on display.
- Area for private lessons when we're post-Covid.
